For people who enjoy biking there is a wonderful bike trail that is unique in Europe that goes along the sea for 36KM. There are also other trails to chose from. It is not to be forgotten the famous competition called “MilanoSanremo” that takes place in March and it is famous for its steep part that leads to Cipressa.
Also mountai bikers have a variety of choices of different trails with different difficulties, you can bike for a long time in the nature without meeting many cars or other people.
Thanks to the climate conditions of Liguria it is possible to bike all year round.
The surroundings of Cipressa are rich in culture and medieval gems: Cervo, Dolceacqua, Apricale, Lingueglietta, Bussana Vechia, the witch village of Triora and many others.
Nice, the Valley of Wonders, the Verduna Gorges, Genoa, FinalBorgo and other places of interest are also within easy reach.
Not to be forgotten is the famous San Remo with its shopping streets and the large weekly market on Saturday mornings. But also in Alassio the shopping heart beats faster. The famous "Gut" - high-end alley in the middle of the center - meanders through the whole city.
Last but not least, the local cuisine should not be missing. It is typically Mediterranean, with high quality products. These include the well-known local olive oil, courgettes, artichokes, tomatoes and of course fresh sea fish. Numerous restaurants and tractors invite you to taste the local dishes.
How to get to the house.
From Milan: take the motorway A7 in the direction of Genova, and follow the signs towards Ventimiglia and exit the motorway at Imperia Ovest from Nice. Take the Motorway towards Gênes and exit at Imperia Ovest. After leaving the motorway turn left and follow the signs towards ‘San Lorenzo al mare’ the turning for Cipressa is on your right across the village of Costarainera and Regione Colla is the second on your right.
